Hey there everyone! Finally, it’s time for an update! Life’s been wonderful, busy, and changing all the time. Here are a few things I’ve been working on recently, hope you enjoy catching up with me!
I started filming a new web series late last year called “Girls Gone College” for Ellen Sandler who was one of the head writers on Everybody Loves Raymond! She is a hilariously talented writer and it was very exciting for me to work with and to develop the characters with her. I learned so much about improve comedy and about how to place jokes properly. My character ‘Marissa’ navigates her way through college with a group of eclectic friends while following her own set of "rules" which change each week. It’s a funny, light hearted escape into college life seen through the eyes of a slightly eccentric, but likeable group of characters.
Also, you might recall that last year I directed my first project, a theatrical play called “Publicityville” at the Actor’s Playpen. After the show ended its run, I went on almost immediately to direct yet another play, this one called “The Break Up” for the WGA Writer's Strike Benefit Show starring Bonnie Summerville (Cashmere Mafia) and Melissa Sagemiller (Raising the Bar). I have to say it was extremely thrilling for me to work with two such accomplished actresses and have them trust me to guide them through this comedy piece. I am very interested in directing again in the future if the right project comes along. It really teaches you as an actress to appreciate things from a completely different perspective.
I was also very happy to hear that the film “Float” I did alongside Gregory Itzin (24) premiered at the "Feel Good Film Festival” hosted by Rainn Wilson. It’s always great when I know that movies I’ve done that I truly believe in get the recognition they should and are part of really good artistic circles.
As always, I’m still very busy with my growing all natural and organic perfume company Starring…! Fragrances which is available online at www.starringfragrances.com, at Whole Foods markets, and various other boutiques nationwide and internationally. I’m continuing to expand my product line and it now includes body products, hair care, and candles!
